Review: Canva

In this Canva review, we’ll look at everything the tool has to offer, as well as its benefits and drawbacks.

Canva is yet a freemium online graphics application that is quite easy to use and comes with a vast database of templates to choose from. It’s designed to be a simple and quick approach to produce visuals for folks who aren’t familiar with the art of graphic design.

Canva allows you to create a staggering number of different projects: PowerPoint presentation slides, stunning reports, YouTube thumbnail, infographics, business cards, posters, banners and much- much more.

Is Canva Free to Use?

Yes, you can start designing right away but there are some limitations.

Canva’s has hundreds of thousands royalty-free images and graphics but it maintains a distinct collection for its subscribers. You’ll get most of the main layout and editing tools you’ll need and you can start designing right away.

Trial period is for 30 days (To activate the account though, you’ll need to enter credit card. You can cancel at any time during the trial period and you won’t get charged.) and that’s what I subscribed for initially. However, because several of the creative tools I needed, such as the transparent background, were only accessible in Canva Pro, I immediately upgraded.

The Pro membership comes with unlimited folders, 100GB of storage space, unique templates, and the ability to publish directly to social media. It includes 100 Brand Kits, which may be used to save customized logo sets, colors, and fonts for brand consistency.. You’ll also gain access to more templates, stock photos, and design tools.

What are the features?

One of Canva’s most enticing qualities is how simple it is to use, and everything is really well put out and structured. Simply tell Canva what you’re attempting to create, and you’ll be presented with a plethora of various templates and layout options – one of Canva’s strengths is the sheer amount of templates available, which number in the thousands even before you start paying for a monthly subscription.

Final Verdict

When comparing Canva to Adobe Creative Cloud, the level of complexity and number of features is nowhere near as high, but if you prefer a simpler, more intuitive option that takes seconds to learn and get into, then Canva is for you.

The drag-and-drop feature makes creating designs simple and rapid. This tool is very useful for people who are not artistically inclined.

Given the extensive usage they provide, the pricing plans are typically inexpensive and priced competitively. With the 30-day free trial, you can get a feel for the services and see if they’re a good fit for the projects you’re working on. With such a generous option, there’s no reason not to give it a shot.
